Welcome to Comment-8

Comment-8 is funded by Legacy Trust UK, creating a lasting impact from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games by funding ideas and local talent to inspire creativity across the UK and co-ordinated by the Verbal Arts Centre. The project aims to forge new links between sport and the arts, and will see the commissioning of a series of six Olympic sports inspired performance pieces, created through literary and musical collaborations between some of our best local writers and musical composers. For each commission the artists will seek inspiration from working directly with a local sports club, and the theme running through the whole series will be the presence of the sports commentator.
